Job Description:
Provides classroom and simulator training to crewmembers in designated curriculum segments or modules. In this position, your duties and responsibilities include teaching procedures, aircraft systems, and other relevant topics. Plan lessons, deliver lectures and ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulatory requirements and guidance for a pilot training program. You also assess the performance and knowledge of each student to ensure that they have learned the necessary subject matter and skills. Ability to provide a minimum of 12 days of availability per month.
Essential Duties:
- Develops and maintains the courseware required to support training curriculum segments and modules that they are authorized to teach.
- Develops and maintains the courseware required to support the indoctrination training of all WGA employees.
- Plans and ensures adequate resources to meet the training requirements of WGA.
- Maintains instructional performance standards.
- Remains knowledgeable in the applicable requirements of 14 CFR Parts 61, 63, 65, 91, and 121.
- Communicates effectively and always maintains a manner that reflects professionalism and a positive attitude toward safety.
- Represents WGA in industry and governmental associations on training.
- Conducts ground training in designated curriculum segments or modules of training.
- Certifies the satisfactory completion of ground training curriculum segments by WGA employees.
Job Requirements:
- Must have knowledge how to operate and use basic computer programs including Excel, Adobe, Word, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Unrestricted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with airplane category and multiengine class ratings.
- FAA Medical.
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Boeing MD11 aircraft type rating.
- Check Airman or Simulator Instructor experience in turbojet aircraft.
