Head of Revenue Management EU South

The Revenue Management (RM) function is responsible for maximizing SAS’ passenger revenue on planned production by offering the market the right ticket types, at the right price, at the right time, at the right place. We are now recruiting a leader for our EU South revenue optimization team.

Challenges you will work on

As Head of Revenue Management EU South you will lead a team of approximately 10 revenue managers and be responsible for improving the revenue performance of a portfolio of routes (approx. ~5-6 SEK bn in P&L responsibility). You will be expected to deliver on ambitious targets focusing on maximizing revenue from the growing leisure travel segment and the results of your work will have a high and direct bottom line impact for SAS. You will have a large individual mandate in decision making as well as long- and short-term planning and execution.

As a member of the Revenue Management Team (RMT), you will support, partake- and drive the overall commercial development of SAS and RM. In addition to improving the revenue performance of your own portfolio, you will be responsible for driving certain competence areas on a cross functional, global, RM level, through leadership of cross-functional workstreams. You will also collaborate with other departments of SAS Commercial to improve results.

The position is located at SAS’ head office in Stockholm and reports to VP Revenue Management.

As Head of Revenue Management EU South at SAS you will be responsible for:
  • Business planning, decision making and follow-up of own portfolio, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Leadership of ~10 co-workers, including department and individual roadmaps, coaching, performance management, salary revisions, team development, engagement building and contributing to making SAS and RM a great place to work
  • Development and maintenance of the team agenda covering business, ways of working, and people, including work planning and work assignment within the team
  • Development and maintenance of an ambitious change agenda in your team to help SAS excel in a challenging and competitive post-pandemic environment
  • Development of plans and activities for certain competence areas on behalf of RMT, through leadership of 1-3 super user groups
To be successful, we believe you should have:
  • Higher academic degree (Master of science or equivalent)
  • Experience with Airline Revenue Management, including understanding of RM theory, RM systems, and the commercial airline business model
  • Leadership experience from managing a team or project with a keen interest in leadership, motivating and developing team members
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to, based on data- and analysis, conclude on own point of view of commercial and strategic RM topics
  • Result oriented, strong business acumen with significant drive for continuous development
  • Outgoing with a positive can-do attitude and able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of the organization
  • Strong communicator with high degree of integrity and reliability
  • Strong user of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English and, preferably, one of the Scandinavian languages
