Job Summary:

The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources, with a strong emphasis on training and development. This internship will involve supporting HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance while working on a training and development project. The intern will create and deliver a training session on a selected workplace topic and assist with HR initiatives as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present a training project proposal, identifying a workplace training need and outlining a structured learning plan.
  • Design and facilitate a training session on a relevant topic for employees.
  • Assist with training records maintenance and reporting.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth experience for employees.
  • Assist in HR compliance efforts, including reviewing policies and maintaining employee personnel files.
  • Provide customer service support by addressing HR-related inquiries from employees.
  • Support recruitment efforts, including job postings and interview scheduling.
  • Participate in HR events and engagement activities, such as employee recognition programs and company-wide meetings.
  • Work on special projects and other HR-related tasks as assigned.

Education:

  • Minimum Required: High school graduate
  • Preferred: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

Experience:

  • Experience in an office environment or customer service
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interest in training and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with MS Office(Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating discussions.
  • Strong problem solving and ability to take initiative

Physical Requirements:
  • This position is mainly sedentary; Therefore, required to sit

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk throughout the facility Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or move up to 25 poundsOccasionally will need to bend, stoop and squat

Work Environment:
  • The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the basic functions. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate, however, hearing protection may be required if employee enters high noise areas as a part of their normal job duties
