Job Summary
Cirrus is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Journeyman level HVAC Technician to join our Duluth Facilities team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our facilities to support our operations.
Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- HVAC System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure they operate efficiently and meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC system issues, including mechanical, electrical, and control problems. Perform repairs and adjustments as necessary to restore system functionality.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements while performing HVAC work. Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in codes and regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance. Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings and recommendations to management. Interpret work orders and perform work with limited direction.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate efforts and address any HVAC-related issues that impact operations. Provide technical direction and on the job
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties and respond to emergency HVAC situations as needed, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize disruption
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Company vehicle driving requirements estimated at 10; must have valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certification: Valid Journeyman HVAC Technician license preferred. Additional certifications such as EPA Section 608, PLT lic. is preferred.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician, with a proven track record in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems. Experience in high-tech manufacturing environment is advantageous. Must have prior experience in operating and troubleshooting BMS systems. Programing experience preferred. Strong experience in BAS field engineering and servicing Building Automation systems.
- Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC BMS systems and components, including advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques. Proficiency with HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and blueprints.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
