- Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience within the last four (4) years in the management, administration, or operation of a hazardous materials/waste program. Experience should include receiving, storage, distribution, handling, and disposal of all types of material that may be utilized at the Contractor's job site.
- One of the two years of experience should include planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating a HAZMAT program for an entire organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate
- HAZCOM, Hazardous Material Handling certificate
- Experience in an industrial environment, familiar with heavy machinery, special tools, calibrated tooling, test equipment, common hand tools, and support equipment.
- Knowledge and understanding of aviation tools and equipment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain base access.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.
- Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
- If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
- If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
- If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
- Travel may be required.
