Primary Objective of the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end HR support to the employees, business, and HR team. This role will assist in driving and optimizing the operational excellence that supports employee experience.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Ensure timely and accurate information is tracked and verified for all employee life-cycle changes, including but not limited to new hires, terminations, pay changes, paid and unpaid leave, benefit deductions, and other information.
  • Coordinate day-to-day processing of benefits programs, including enrollment of new employees, changes, and terminations.
  • Administer the benefits programs and act as the point of contact for multiple benefits providers.
  • Validate and audit employee life-cycle transactions and benefit enrolments.
  • Administer the disability and leave programs, such as Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability and Worker Compensation.
  • Assist in HRIS implementation by identifying enhancement opportunities and impact associated with new release features/functionality and managing the roadmap for all UKG updates and initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve complex system-related issues and quickly escalate to UKG for timely resolution.
  • Participate in HR Helpdesk and provide proactive HR support and advice to employees and managers on various aspects of policies, procedures and programs.
  • Support in various HR projects, including implementation support, and system optimization related to HR & Benefits operations, dashboards, complex reporting, data management, security, and data integrity for UKG and other HRIS applications.
  • Support HR management with matters related to employee relations and grievances in accordance with relevant legislation, company policies, and best practices.
  • Assist with ongoing document management including filing and preparing for company audits.
  • Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5 years experience in HR operations function is preferred.
    • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, preferably CPHR/CHRP certified.
    • Knowledge of UKG is desired.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to handle a large volume of work and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.
    • A quick thinker who brings a positive and high-energy approach to getting things done.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills; attention to detail is critical part of this role.
    • Maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of multiple, competing priorities.
    • Professional and friendly communications with potential candidates, co-workers, and clients.
