This role must also be flexible and capable to assist the Equipment Maintenance team in daily management and specialized projects. This role may need to be called in after hours to support.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. HVAC Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, predictive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems and Controls.
2. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of HVAC equipment. Schedule and perform maintenance activities according to established protocols.
3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, malfunctions, and failures in system. Analyze and resolve complex problems efficiently and safely.
4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working with energized equipment. Ensure that safety protocols are followed by yourself and the team.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs. Keep up-to-date documentation of HVAC systems, including schematics and diagrams.
6. Emergency Response: Be on-call for emergency HVAC repairs and respond promptly to minimize downtime and safety risks.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with other maintenance teams and departments to ensure seamless operations and communication regarding electrical systems.
8. Training and Development: Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems. Provide training and mentorship to junior HVAC Techs.
9. Responsible for machine Chiller preventative maintenance & repair.
10. Actively participate/drive in continuous improvements in area.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Shop Math, including Algebra, Geometry, Decimals and Fractions. Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
2. Posses a CFC Certification Card
3. At least 3 years of industrial HVAC experience such a manufacturing or large facility environment.
4. Functional knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
5. Read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and schematics.
6. Able to handle heavy materials using approved devices such as fork truck, hoists, cranes or manual lifting if in accordance with safety guidelines.
7. Must be able to push, pull or lift parts up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper ergonomic procedures.
8. Must be able to climb stairs/ladders.
9. Must be able to use computers and learn Microsoft Office & Maximo.
10. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in the English language.
