Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Instructor, Crew Scheduling Training facilitates new hire on the job training. They collaborate with the Training Manager to provide feedback and improvements to the Initial Training program, the OJT process and recurrent training curriculum.
- Subject matter expert in flight crew work rules and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development of the Crew Scheduling training program that ensures new hire and existing Crew Schedulers are task competent, customer service focused and policy, procedure experts.
- Conduct on the job new hire training to an assigned group of trainees, ensuring consistency, and driving proficiency.
- Monitor performance trends of training classes and provide feedback on gaps and areas of improvement.
- Facilitate training using various approaches such as classroom, virtually, and via online modules.
- Update and maintain internal knowledge bases utilized by Crew Scheduling personnel.
- Assists Training Manager, as needed.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1-3 years experience required.
- 2 years of fully trained crew scheduling experience required.
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and IATA/IOSA Standards.
In depth knowledge of Part 121 Operations.
Has a deep understanding of the intricacies of crew scheduling.
Knowledgeable and well-versed in CBA language and can interpret all provisions accurately.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Power Point applications.
- Domestic & International Travel: Under 10 of the time.
- Must be present on the worksite 100 of the time.
