Position Summary:
In the investment casting process, this role dips wax patterns/structures in ceramic slurry. There is art and craftsmanship in this process as it takes a keen eye for precision, ability to read and follow instructions, and physical endurance. This entry level position with on the job training, may advance to other roles, i.e.; if computer skills are evident may cross train to robotics controls.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Follows all prescribed safety rules and regulations. Wears safety glasses with side shields and steel toed shoes at all times. Wears provided coveralls to protect street garments from particulate. May be required to wear dust mask (i.e.; facial hair interferes with seal)
• Reads shell process instructions pertaining to each production part number
• Prepares basic molds for further processing according to instructions. Lifts assemblies from racks and inserts handles to facilitate clipping/washing.
• Immerses wax set-up in appropriate washing solutions according to written instructions
• Immerses mold in the proper slurry, applying the first coat to the mold per instructions
• Replenishes slurry mixture following specified procedures, mixing solids and liquids into tanks
• Maintains clean and orderly work area; sweep, wipe, wash, scrap, remove process waste
• Periodically performs turnaround functions; cleaning and restoring tanks and equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision or as required by the position

Experience & Education:
Requires the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions normally acquired by completion of high school of GED. Training is on the job.

Required Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follows and interprets instructions on technique cards, code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to maintain order and chain of custody on shell molds.

• Sincere desire to learn and broaden their knowledge base thereby increasing their value to the company.
• Accurately completes logs and records in a timely manner
• Ability to frequently lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 35 pounds.
• Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time.
• Deliver technical support (understand/use related data and systems) as needed
• Maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Demonstrate patients and willingness to learn from others.
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $22.00 to $31.50 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
