This co-op position is for a professional, facilitating and leading Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement projects. Responsible for moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems and/or products to enhance quality performance. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run January to August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2025. 

 

What you will do: 

  • Independently manage tasks related to lean practices, continuous improvement, project management, and business integration to enhance the effectiveness of the organizations initiatives. 

  • Lead small to medium-sized transformation projects that identify, design, and implement innovative business and technology solutions aimed at continuous improvement. 

  • Facilitate activities such as time observations, value stream mapping, standard work in manufacturing, process certification, PFMEA, and root cause problem-solving events, overseeing both pre-event and post-event execution. 

  • Assist in the development of Lean training materials to support a successful continuous improvement program. 

 

What You Will Learn:

  • Gain hands-on experience in lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices, enhancing your ability to drive operational excellence. 
  • Develop skills in project management and change management, equipping you to lead transformation initiatives effectively. 
  • Learn to analyze and improve business processes using tools like value stream mapping and root cause analysis, fostering a mindset of innovation and problem-solving. 

 

Qualifications you must have: 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. 

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. 

 

Qualifications we prefer: 

  • Engineering or Operations Management major 

  • Prior Technical Co-op/Intern experience
