Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable machine operator to setup and operate machining equipment on 1st shift. Parker Hannifin offers competitive pay with this position starting at $20.35/hour and has the opportunity to earn up to $24.66/hour. Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Load program from computer; Understand basic programming; some understanding of M & G codesAbility to change offsets and identify & change bad insertsSet up inspection equipment; Set up basic part; get fixture, jaws, and stops if neededCheck all dimensions of part against printCapable of using deburring toolsAbility to manage paperwork in a timely manner with accuracyResponsible for cleanliness and maintaining organization within the areaBasic machine maintenance (oil levels, coolant levels, greasing chucks)Perform continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and monitor yieldsResponsible for effectively communicating equipment problems, set-up issues, maintenance items, etc. to supervisor, Group Lead, and Manufacturing EngineersMonitor use of machining supplies to prevent wasteDeals ethically with Parker’s customers, suppliers, fellow associates and the general publicBasic PC skills and understandingPerforms other duties as assigned by managementQualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or GEDPrior knowledge of machining; Minimum 1 year manufacturing/machining experienceBasic Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to read and understand blue printsRead inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer, indicial, bore gauge, scale, tape measure and any other gage specific to machining)Effective communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to Trouble ShootProblem Solving SkillsClosing Statement
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. Employee will occasionally be required to kneel, squat and bend at the waist. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
