Program Structure:
Duration:
- 2 years (subject to change based on individual progress and/or successful conversion to a full-time role)
Schedule:
- 12 hours per week (part-time). Days and times are flexible but must fall within regular business hours (M-F 6:00am – 2:30pm)
- Rotational assignments in various machining areas
- Summer months (3): Full-time (40 hours per week)

Bal Seal Products & Processes:
Gain in-depth knowledge of our products and the unique machining processes we utilize.
Blueprint Reading & Interpretation:
Learn to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate part creation for Bal Seal components.
Machining Operations:
Master the operation of various machines used at Bal Seal Engineering, including lathes, mills, drilling machines, grinders, Wire EDM, and Sinker.
CNC Machining:
Gain expertise in CNC programming and operation specific to our manufacturing needs.
Measurement & Inspection:
Develop proficiency using precision measuring tools and techniques for quality control within Bal Seal Engineerings standards.
Mathematics:
Apply mathematical principles to perform calculations critical to Bal Seal Engineerings machining processes.
Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing:
Build a foundation in 6S principles to promote organization, efficiency, and safety in the workplace.
