What You Will Do:
In this role, the Major Item Repairman (MIR) will provide day-to-day execution and oversight of modification tasks for the Taiwan Patriot. The candidate will perform modification processes as well as demonstrate the ability to perform depot level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup and repair for Patriot Weapon System MEIs. The MIR must affect all electronic repairs on location with detailed system knowledge and the ability to use all of the hardware/software tools available to Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance. In addition, the selected candidate will also perform inspections in accordance with applicable technical manuals and procedures. Other duties will include movement of materials and equipment to work locations, work site set up, completion of records, maintaining accountability of tools and equipment. The MIR must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing of required personal safety equipment.
This position is located in Taiwan.
Candidate must possess a current US DoD Secret Clearance
Qualifications You Must Have :
Must be proficient in the use of the Maintenance Control System (MCS), analysis of diagnostic switch 9 and 8 data, Radar Action Cycler (RAC) and System Exerciser.
Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/34S/94S/916A/918D or an equivalent course of instruction on a similar electronic system conducted by the military or the system contractor.
Minimum of 6 years of Intermediate level maintenance experience in support of the PATRIOT Air Defense System.
Demonstrated 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems using maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, tools and available test equipment.
Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, to include integration and checkout.
Qualifications We Prefer :
Above qualifications plus five (5) years Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience.
Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
Demonstrated experience of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration and check out (SICO) process.
Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Qualifications We Prefer
Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
Required Education:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
