Job Summary:
- Nondestructive Test Level 1S with responsibility for performing digital radiography and/or Fluorescent Penetrant on Cast Turbine Airfoils.
- Maintain FPM and/or DRM systems in accordance with required Pratt Whitney specifications.
- Follow operating procedures and work instructions for NDT Inspectors.
- 2nd shift opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain level I and II certifications for Digital Radiography (DRM) and Fluorescent Penetrant (FPM) per NDTQ
- Provide training for potential Level II candidates under guidance of a Level III
- Successfully pass the Level II qualification/certification NDT examinations to NDTQ/NAS410.
- Exhibit sufficient Level II experience to meet requirements of NDTQ/NAS410.
- Exhibit skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, conduct tests, interpret, and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results in accordance with procedures approved.
- Provide NDT system technical support such as establishing (programming) digital x-ray techniques under guidance of a Level III
- Maintain FPM and DRM systems in accordance with required Pratt Whitney specifications.
- Function as a Quality Inspector when business needs require.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Familiar with the scope and limitation of the method and shall have the ability to apply detailed techniques to products or parts within their limit of qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of KB and IRT Ultrasonic systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience following quality procedures
Additional Information:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
