Senior Crane and Equipment Operator
Dept: Extrusion, Paint, or Anodizing
Grade: 5 – 6
Minimum Wage: $23.19 per hour
Wage range: $23.19 - $27.29 per hour
This job posting is specifically for the skilled operator positions within the Extrusion, Paint, or Anodizing departments. Jobs include Extrusion Press Operator, Extrusion Quality Inspector, Extrusion Die Set-Up Crane Operator, Extrusion Operations Floater, Anodizing Crane Operator, and various Operator roles within the Paint department that are grade 5.
The functions of the various jobs include these tasks:
- Operation of an aluminum extrusion press. Ensuring recipe adherence and safe work practices are being followed by the team.
- Learn and maintain EVPM (Electronic Visual Process Management) and be able to teach others.
- The utilization of testing techniques and the application of quality tools to the reduction of process and product variation.
- Development, implementation, and audit of manufacturing control plans and standard operating procedures to which adherence will result in products that are produced to target.
- Develop, communicate and train work instructions for quality procedures.
- Be able to flex to other areas of the specific department of the job function.
- Must be able to obtain Mobile Equipment and/or Crane licenses, depending on the job function.
Requirements:
- Must possess fluent computer skills to be able to interface utilizing; Microsoft Suite, Ignition, EAM, and various other software.
- 5 year experience as a crane or equipment operator in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 year leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must pass physical to operate a free moving mobile equipment or crane.
- Self motivated – driven to achieve excellence
- Team Player – works well with others to achieve team success
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work 12 hour days while performing moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Overtime is required if deemed necessary by management.
