Nighwing has an immediate need for a Principal Database Technologist in the Sterling/Dulles, VA area.
The right candidate will be responsible for but is not limited to the following duties. Monitors, retrieves, and organizes communications traffic, customer requests, and other data within various proprietary databases. Conducts queries, analyzes data relationships, parses critical data elements, and tags data to operational records. Tracks activities using MS Access and compiles weekly/monthly reports for management. On occasion, briefs management at Nightwing on high priority items, and drafts official correspondence or other responses as directed. Provides direct customer support to local and fielded personnel. Collaborates with other support personnel to identify efficiencies and resolve issues.
* All candidates must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
Required Skills:
Must have 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree
Analytical, investigative, and/or data mining experience
Able to identify valuable data points within high volume traffic
Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Existing TS/SCI security clearance with Poly
Desired Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite with emphasis on Access
Self-motivated and passionate about supporting the mission
Required Education:
Eight (8) or more years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree
Or, a master’s degree in a related discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
Or, 8 years of experience (for a total of sixteen (16) or more years) may be substituted for a degree
Active and transferable Active U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
