Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team, within the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) as a Principal Military Trainer Intel, located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. MCTP trains Army Service Component Commands, Corps, and Divisions in the Army Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. This individual serves as an Intelligence Warfighting Function (WfF) subject matter expert within a team of contractors supporting MCTP, Operations Group A. The individual supports the After-Action Review (AAR) process during Warfighter Exercises (WFX) by working with military Observer Coach/Trainers (OC/T) to develop AAR products. They also pull data from the WFX simulation on training units either as a direct request, or in anticipation of need, from an OC/T or their contractor Team Lead. The individual may expect to travel to approximately five WFXs per year with each one having a duration of approximately 3 weeks. If selected for Advance Party duties, duration may be four or more weeks. Between exercises the individual may assist with the preparation and execution of Mission Command Training (MCT) events, the preparation of Simulation Control Plans (SCP), attend planning meetings for the WFX Event Life Cycle (ELC) and other tasks as assigned.   After attaining some experience, the individual may assist with certification training in his/her assigned WfF to new personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience
    • Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional leadership experience
  • Military Intelligence (MI) Field Grade Officer or Warrant Officer 4/5.
  • Minimum Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or Equivalent.
  • Graduate of a related MI Military Advanced Course.
  • Must have ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Familiarity with current Army and Joint Doctrine.
  • Be physically capable of air travel to both CONUS and OCONUS military installations and perform duty for up to twelve hours for shifts during WFX or other exercises.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MI Brigade or higher staff officer experience.
  • Current, active SECRET or higher clearance.
  • Experience as an OC/T, especially in Intelligence.
  • Background in Intelligence assignments / operations.
Salary Range: $71,600 - $107,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
