Position Summary
The classification of Production Polymers includes tasks in Crashworthy, Crashworthy Repair, Final, Cardboard, Plaster, Large Spray, Large Spray Final, Small Spray and other similar areas.
In this role, the team member may be moved from task to task within their assigned work area and to another work area at managements discretion. Team member must repeatedly produce quality products in the efficient manner while maintain a high regard for safety and health.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the construction, curing, and final preparation of plaster and cardboard forms used in the building of fuel tanks and other products as required.
Responsible for the construction of fittings and other accessories for final assembly, application of fittings and other accessories.
Building, stripping, cleaning, repairing, jigging, and packing of fuel tanks and/or lift bags, utility tanks, dunnage bags, seals, diaphragms or similarly constructed products.
Maintain a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective, and safety, equipment.
Must complete proper paperwork documentation.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions with little supervision.
Responsible for orderliness of work area and proper care of equipment, machinery, materials and tools.
Various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Frequently lift 25 pounds.
Must group scissors, rollers, measuring devices, sandpaper, sanders, and other hand tools and use appropriately.
Must work in tight, awkward workspaces including the inside of fuel tanks, bags, etc.
Must work in standing and/or seated position and/or work on the floor in kneeling, seated or crawling position.
Must work with hands extended at or above chest level.
Must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.
