Location Profile:

Aerocraft Heat Treating CO. Inc is a PCC owned commercial heat treater of steel, titanium, & high temperature materials. Founded in 1959, Aerocraft processes forgings, castings, bar, plate, and rough-machined parts. Materials are processes for most of the aerospace prime contractors.

Job Summary: The Quality Technician position involves sampling, measuring and verifying that manufactured products meet pre-determined quality standards. Performs routine equipment calibration and operational checks.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules (e.g. Quality and Safety)
  • Comply with Quality Policy and Quality Objectives established at Aerocraft Heat Treating
  • Review router accuracy and compliance with purchase order, process specification, and prime contractor requirements
  • Ensure purchase order requirements and applicable specifications are flown down on the shop router
  • Ensures conformance and compliance to customer quality standards as well as reviews process data to ensure compliance to approved procedures
  • Perform Calibration on Heat Treat furnaces
  • Performs scheduled equipment calibrations using proper check sheets and procedures
  • Maintains calibration standards
  • Properly documenting equipment calibrations performed
  • Maintains adequate thermocouples available for heat treat operations and uniformity surveys
  • Review material certifications to ensure they have been approved for release and use by the Quality Department for thermocouple wire, control thermocouples, potentiometers, optical - pyrometers and Gas analyzers prior to their usage for Heat Treat
  • Perform purchase order data entry into shop traveler system to generate shop router
  • Maintain system documentation for specifications and documents required to perform material processing.
  • Notify customers for any discrepancy found on the purchase order against the receiving slip
  • Communicate quality inquiries and concerns to the customer in a timely manner
  • Assisting with daily clerical and administrative tasks, such as sending emails and filing
  • Other duties as assigned

Required education / experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Problem solving and Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Must be quality oriented with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy
  • High level of integrity and discretion with an ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision

Preferred requirements:

  • 1 year of Aerospace Manufacturing/Processing experience
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and purchase orders
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions on Shop Travelers
  • Blueprint reading and understanding
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.25 to $28.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
