Mission:
Under general supervision, receive, store, deliver, pack, and organize all incoming goods for the company in accordance with quality standards. Ensure that documentation, tooling and parts are correctly matched to paperwork.
Principle Accountabilities:
Ship/Receiving Clerk
Objective: To ensure all materials are received, stored, and issued per production requirements, customer, and inspection requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work.
- Demonstrate ability to log on main computer system, extract information, log time, enter inventory amount and forward to next operation.
- Verify inbound or outbound tooling is visually checked for damage such as burrs, nicks, cuts, scratches, gouges, metal fatigue and cracks.
- Receive, unload, and unpack incoming shipments and freight, make count checks and compare with packing slips.
- Complete log of incoming materials, enter receiving information into computer, store in appropriate area, and forward all pertinent paperwork to proper departments.
- Take periodic inventory counts following prescribed procedures and routines. Have knowledge of computerized "Consumption" inventory process.
- Keep all stock in good order.
- Prepare and record bills of lading and shipping reports.
- Demonstrate leadership ability and set good example for the rest of the department.
- Review/Inspect incoming material for defects and conformance with purchase order.
- Demonstrate cooperation when assistance is needed by the management and possess the ability to train incoming personnel.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete all departmental paperwork in fine detail and explain the logic of all phases as required in their job and identifies in procedures to perform assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate the ability to make cost analysis for decision making, and exercise good judgment.
- Proficient in using the on-line computer system as required in job.
- Demonstrate good work habits (all materials stacked neatly on shelves, labeled and accessible to departments) and attitudes. Budget time well, accomplish most important tasks first. Normally avoid unnecessary conversation with others in plant.
- Able to work under minimal supervision and to ensure all materials are properly received and correctly stored in the proper locations.
- Able to correctly use computerized receiving system and maintain logs of all outgoing and incoming shipments as required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license to pick up and deliver materials, parts, and supplies in a timely manner with an excellent safety record.
- Possess the physical strength and stamina to put in a full shift in assigned jobs.
- Work safely when lifting, use transport devices and get help on larger tools.
Essential Equipment, Vehicles, Tools and/or Machinery used:
- Lifting devices (Lift tables, Cranes, Forklifts, Company Vehicle, lift gates,etc)
- Various handtools (Pliers, Wrench, Wax surfacing hand tools, Scrapers and Knives, Measuring devices, Clippers, Scissors, )
- Metal bander
Qualifications:
- Experience and/or training are included in considerations.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follow and interpret instructions on technique cards, as well as other verbal or written instructions.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Pervious receiving/shipping experience preferred.
- Inventory Management
- Microsoft Office skills preferred
Physical Demands:
- Mobility: Ability to move around the production floor frequently, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs or ladders as needed throughout the shift.
- Lifting: Frequently required to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds, such as equipment, tools, hand trucks, and or materials.
- Dexterity: Requires manual dexterity for handling tools, equipment, or machines and performing routine inspections and adjustments.
- Visual and Hearing Requirements: Must have good vision (with or without correction) for reading documents, monitors, and inspecting products, as well as good hearing for communication in a noisy environment.
- Endurance: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and temperature variations. Weekends and longer working hours may be required.
- Safety Awareness: Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and other necessary gear depending on the area of the production floor.

Compensation and Benefits:
For informational purposes only, the pay range for this role is $16.00/hr to $24.00/hr (USD) based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 80 hours of paid time off every year, along with 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are also eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
