Job Description:
Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for a Receptionist to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Receptionist you will act as the first point of contact and represent the Sunwing Vacations Group in a professional and welcoming manner. You are responsible for handling front office reception and administrative duties, including greeting visitors, answering the telephone, handling company inquiries, sorting and distributing mail, support ongoing office entry requirements. The Receptionist will occasionally support the People and Culture team by providing administrative assistance as required and maintaining exceptional service delivery and support of our company culture initiatives. This position reports to the People & Culture Engagement and Administration Manager and will be in Toronto, ON.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the company switchboard and route calls as appropriate.
- Receive incoming courier packages and prepare outgoing packages.
- Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access.
- Respond to incoming customer / employee’s inquiries by referring them with the appropriate colleague to take the task or informing the appropriate staff.
- Monitor reception email inbox.
- Assist with employee onboarding and act as first point of contact for new hires.
- Support P&C leadership team in promoting purpose and values
- Assist in People & Culture administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
- Strong people skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Detail oriented and held to the highest confidentiality standard.
