Roles and Responsibilities:
Role Summary:
Take ownership of job detail to produce customer expected outcome
Performs functional tests using a variety of equipment to verify accuracy and functionality (i.e.
electrical, helium, and leak tests as required)
Work with team members to facilitate component process through Repair Station
Move parts/work orders through own cell or departments as required
Train with Certified Repairman to obtain record of part 145 skills.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
Read and interpret dimensional measurements (calipers, and scales)
Follow written work instructions, processes, and procedures
Use a wide variety of hand and/or power tools as required
Learn Part 145 Repair Station rules and regulations
Understand traceability of parts per Air Agency Regulations
Review FAA and Customer documents and understand process and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements
Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills
Basic ERP skills
Basic written and verbal communications skills
Self-directed and motivated
Obtain all required certifications of department
Eligibility Requirements:
Willing and able to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time
High School diploma or GED
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT and FAA regulations as required
One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Willing and able to work with hazardous materials
Willing and able to cross-train
Desired Characteristics:
Excellent attendance history
Ability to produce error free products
Strives to meet or exceed job requirements
Prior mechanical knowledge
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
