Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Combat Skills Instructors to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Prepare, plan, and conduct student instruction in basic “Soldier Training” that includes rucksack marches, marksmanship, small arms handling, basic first aid (1st Responder), land navigation and Modern Army Combatives.
- Train and educate newly assigned Soldiers and officers to provide the required knowledge and skills necessary to perform during combat and in-combat situations as members of the 160th SOAR(A) and required for survival.
- Provide instruction on physical fitness, Level I Modern Army Combatives, land navigation, first responder medical aid, weapons handling and marksmanship training.advise leadership on proposed changes to POIs, Training Support Packages (TSP), new and innovative equipment to support quality training and survival skills on the battlefield.
- Develop and conduct student and 160th SOAR team building exercises and culmination exercises (CULEX).
- Provide training for other units, spouses and VIPs.
- Drive military vehicles and fly in ARSOAC aircraft to support students and 160th SOAR team building and training exercises.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Army Instructor Training Course (AITC) or equivalent.
- Army Combative Certified.
- Graduate of advanced marksmanship training.
- Graduate of a special operations basic combat skills qualification course such as: 160th Green Platoon, Army Ranger, or Special Forces Qualification course.
- SECRET Clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
