Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Security Coordinator 3 to join our Personnel Security Team of talented and diverse individuals at our Dulles, VA location.
In this position you will work closely with senior executives, customers, and government representatives, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations/customers; the ability to protect and maintain confidentiality; and the ability to execute tasks and projects independently. To be successful you must be an exceptional team player, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized and detail oriented. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must provide excellent follow-through, exercise good judgment, demonstrate flexibility and agility, manage schedule conflicts and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide program security and personnel security (PERSEC) support to include but not limited to review and process required documentation in support of the SAP and SCI nomination processes; prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings; access, review and submit clearance/access information using DISS and JADE, and other information systems; maintain PERSEC databases in accordance with customer tracking requirements; maintain and operate document control register/database; process and manage incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and visitor control.
- Generate and/or review Program Access Request (PAR) packages; ensure all required information is included including currency of information, completeness of forms, and inclusion of required signatures. Generate Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA), provide to briefer/debriefer, and/or execute briefs/debriefs on behalf of the government security team.
- Familiarization with the DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals (DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4), Sensitive Compartmented Information Administrative Manuals (DoD Manual 5105.21 Volumes 1-3), Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), IC Technical Specification (IC Tech Spec) for ICD/ICS 705, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures.
- Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with DD Form 254 and Issue subcontract DD254s
- Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing personnel security paperwork and a data transfer agent to ingress files and upload into Government databases.
- Maintain liaison and good working relationships with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related administrative, clerical or security experience.
- Candidate must be a US citizen, have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 5 years and approval for program access.
- Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated, relevant security experience with industrial security programs within the Intelligence Community.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions amid ambiguity and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills to include being a self-starter that can deliver results with minimal supervision and functions with high ethical standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees and customers.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and possess the skills required to manage time and tasks independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- SharePoint experience.
- Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills, and organizational skills enabling effective communications.
- Strong working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
Salary Range: $48,600 - $81,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
