Roles and Responsibilities:
Role Summary:
Receive, offload and sort incoming packages from carrier delivery trucks and sort incoming mail and operate the mailing system for outgoing US mail
Scan, pick, build and process kits
Perform visual review of parts to ensure correct material picked and is conforming/usable material
Stage materials and move
Recognize and address potential quality escapes ( “turnbacks”)
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
Understand and keep up to date on packaging, shipping, labeling, and specific weight requirements
Follow written work instructions, processes/procedures, and customer manuals regarding material handling and packaging
Execute, transact, and view basic ERP transactions (transact labels) for all product (raw materials, sub-components, finished goods and repairs)
Responsible for proper packaging of individual and master packaging requirements
Ensure adherence to special handling requirements of parts with cure dates/shelf life/hazmat/MSDS/ESD
Responsible for proper inventory of packaging materials
Utilize all types of packaging material and equipment
Qualifications/Requirements
Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes
Basic computer, math and ERP skills
Basic written and verbal communications skills
Experience with material processes in ERP in a manufacturing environment
1-year prior stockroom, receiving, shipping, and/or warehouse experience
Eligibility Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
High School diploma or GED
Ability to climb ladders, continuously stand, stoop, and make turning movements
Ability to attain all required certifications of department (walk behind, forklift, electric pallet jack, etc.)
Desired Characteristics:
Excellent attendance history
Strives to meet or exceed job requirements
Basic blueprint reading/interpretation
