Position Summary
TITLE: SLEEVE CUTTER - 3rd SHIFT
HOURS: 9pm - 5am
REPORTS TO: Stanley Bielanski
LOCATION: Parker Hannifin-Woodridge, IL
LABOR GRADE: 3
Duties and responsibilities:
Operators are responsible for running their machines to the standards and requirements of each job. To works as a contributing member of a working team. Members of the Machining Department will be responsible for running different types of equipment as assigned. This equipment includes either grooving, trimming or sleeve cutting machines.
Machining Responsibilities
Inspect your area and equipment for any safety hazards, correct or report to supervisor. Wear all required PPE.
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
Report all scrap material to QC
Correct or report all discrepancies or changes in work instructions to your supervisor or QC Manager.
Correct or report any safety hazards to supervisor.
Must be able to use computer to access work instructions.
Run all products to computer specifications or other work instructions associated with the product.
Change tools, and make adjustments as needed to run parts to specifications.
Use measuring equipment as specified by work instructions to verify product dimensions.
Audit, pack and label parts as required.
Complete all documentation as required by work instructions.
All other responsibilities as assigned.
Fill out Production/Scrap Data Sheet daily/Day by Hour/other as directed.
All other duties as assigned.
General Team Member Responsibilities
Run machines to produce parts to customers specifications.
Actively participate in team meetings to solve problems
Be flexible enough to move to different jobs as required.
Take on a team responsibility: relieving, troubleshooting, training.
All other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position usually spends approximately 85 of the time standing, 10 of their time walking, and 5 of their time sitting, however, depending on the machinery the percentage of times could change.
This person must lift tubs and /or boxes of parts weighing up to 25 lbs. Approximately three times per day.
Excellent hand-eye coordination is required.
Education and Experience Preferred
Good communication skills, ability to read and understand work instructions required.
Solid work history.
