Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Nightwing Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM) is seeking a Sr. Google Cloud Architect to assess and develop cloud-based architectures and requirements and develop derived requirements and systems engineering artifacts in the development of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
Partnering with the Chief Engineer to develop advanced, leading-edge, cloud-oriented architectures that provide new cybersecurity capabilities to a major U.S. Government customer
Partnering with Agile Scrum teams in the system design and implementation of advanced, cloud-oriented cybersecurity capabilities
Interfacing directly with customers, stakeholders, and end-users regarding capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive, develop and decompose next-cycle updates and specifications.
Required Skills:
Must be a US Citizen
Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
10+ years of applicable experience
2+ years of Google cloud architecting experience
Google cloud technology knowledge and implementation experience
Proven leadership skills and meaningful experience successfully leading technical teams and projects
Able to work effectively as a leader, in a group, or as an individual contributor
Strong working knowledge of IT products and services
Strong working knowledge of IT Service Operations
Innovative, technical mindset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to analyze information and identify relevant facts
Ability to shape opinions of key stakeholders and influence outcomes - Proven track record of achieving desired results
Strong and diverse business and technical acumen
Experience working with senior leadership including VP and Director levels
Desired Skills:
Experience and familiarity with implementing and maintaining a Google Cloud environment
Familiarity with the following technologies in a cloud environment: Elk Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), Ansible, Nessus, ClamAV, AIDE, Splunk, DNS, NAT, git
Azure Cloud and AWS Cloud technology knowledge and implementation experience - Influential communication and ability to achieve alignment
Experience managing many people and projects - Experience working in an agile development environment
Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience
Experience working on projects that implement analytic models into production systems
Experience with Google technologies, migrations to a Google environment and maintenance of a Google environment
Experience with agile tools, including Jira and Jira Align Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field. (Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.)
Experience with Python/bash scripting

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
