Sr. NC Programmer (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of duties and programming tasks using Unigraphics computer program for fabrication of complex aircraft parts and tools.
Program C.N.C. machines.
Maintain and update all N.C. program files.
Supply machine operators with set-up and run information as required.
Design, draw, and coordinate large tooling fixtures and tooling masters for use on machines.
Create flat patterns in order to machine parts.
Improve on old N.C. computer programs to increase productivity and ease of machining.
Act as liaison between Engineering, Methods and Manufacturing departments.
Convert drawing files to Iges files for the Shoda and N.C. Punch machines.
Design and program form dies.
Export and import computer files to other companies for use in building Company fixtures and parts.
Write post processors for our existing and new machines.
Research new tooling for the N.C. machines (inserts, toolholders, etc.)
Interface with various departments and advise with technical information and guidance.
Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
Attend training as required.
Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in a computer programming or related field, at least five years experience with three years N.C. machining experience and two years experience Unigraphics required or equivalent education and experience.
Thorough understanding of machining, sheet metal flat pattern layout, and computer programming is required to perform the duties in this position.
