This position is a critical member of the architecture team in Edison Works (classified defense business), and will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge in cyber security architecture, technology, tools, and strategy. This role will partner with key stakeholders to drive the strategy for, and roadmap of, the advancement and growth of the technical security tools, while also driving continuous improvement across the numerous classified programs within our organization. You will develop relationships with suppliers, partners and customers to formulate and execute a complete strategy to improve our technology security posture.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and implement significant endpoint security technology initiatives across multiple layers of architecture, including Antivirus, Identity and Access, DLP, SEIM, PDS, vulnerability scanning, network security, and virtualization security for on premises and remote cloud environments.
  • Partner with Information Assurance, Product Management Office, Product Owners and Architects to identify and prioritize opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Provide hands on architecture, design and build of security tools that meet security control requirements for current and future infrastructure and applications for both on premises and external cloud solutions.
  • Work with external customers, and teams, on DoD security requirements to ensure technology meets JSIG and RMF regulations within a full technology stack environment.
  • Research and evaluate emerging security technology, as well as industry and market trends, to assist in automation development, solution implementation and/or operational support activities across multiple teams and scenarios.
  • Lead the technology side of our security tool strategy of the enterprise, including roadmaps, development, deployment, and external partnerships.
  • Support standardization of security tools to establish a scalable and centralized function.
  • Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to security tools deployment to new product development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in cyber technology.
    • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Due to the nature of the work being performed this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.
  • Familiar with security products such as Splunk, Trellix, Digital Guardian, SEPM.
  • In-depth knowledge and strong experience building, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade storage solutions.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects at once.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • GE will require proof of status prior to employment
  • Familiarity with United States Government regulatory controls and frameworks (NIST, JSIG, RMF, DFARS, CMMC, etc.)
