Job PurposeThe Executive Management Engineering & Operations (EME&O) team plays a vital role in the Emirates Groups success. By managing the Groups engineering and operations functions effectively, the EME&O team helps us maintain our high standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.
As a Standardisation Auditor Ground Operations in the Compliance Monitoring Department you will review audit activities, assessing findings, and supporting continuous improvement of auditing standards and practices within ground operations. The position provides independent oversight of compliance auditing related to ground handling, load control, dispatch, ramp safety, airport services, and related domains.
In this role you will:
- Review completed audits from the Ground Operations Compliance Monitoring Section to ensure they meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and appropriate audit methodology. Validate the correctness, depth, and consistency of findings.
- Monitor audit planning, sampling strategies, and execution to identify gaps or inconsistencies. Evaluate the adequacy of audit scope and alignment with GCAA CAR AIR OPS, IOSA standards, and internal procedures.
- Support the calibration of auditors by reviewing how ground operations audits are conducted, including classification of findings, use of checklists, and consistency in root cause analysis and corrective action evaluation.
- Perform post-audit sampling, document checks, and limited field verifications to assess whether actual practices align with audit reports and whether corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Generate reports on the quality and effectiveness of ground operations auditing activities. Provide feedback to the Standardisation Manager on areas of strength and improvement.
- Identify opportunities to enhance audit processes, checklists, and reporting structures. Contribute to the development of best practices and standardisation across the audit programme.
- Maintain a strong understanding of GCAA CAR AIR OPS (ground operations), IOSA ground handling and operational control provisions, and airline ground operations manuals and procedures.
- Liaise with ground operations auditing personnel to clarify audit expectations, share standardisation insights, and support audit quality improvement initiatives.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Hold a degree in Aviation Management, Ground Operations, Business management or equivalent.
- Have 5+ years experience in airline ground operations, including at least 2 years in auditing, safety, or quality roles.
- Demonstrate familiarity with auditing ground handling agents, load control, ramp operations, or dispatch.
- Possess working knowledge of GCAA CAR AIR OPS and IOSA ISARPs related to ground operations.
- Have proficiency in auditing techniques, non-conformity classification, and corrective/preventive action assessment.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and document review skills.
- Be proficient in using audit systems (e.g. Q-Pulse, IQSMS, or equivalent).
- Communicate clearly and professionally, with strong report writing capabilities.
