The Stores Person will maintain designated functions within the logistics and/or materials team. Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and/or M&L Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely meeting De Havilland Canada company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions.
- Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials
- Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders.
- Verifying orders.
- Shipping material as per order direction and/or De Havilland Canada’s Routing Guide.
- Shipping interbranch transfers (IBT).
- Coordinate and/or support logistics requirements.
- Processing all required documentation (FORM 1, Pro Forma, Customs Documents, RMA, etc.).
- Safely operate a stand-up reach truck and/or counterbalance forklift.
- Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE).
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and/or manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 2–5 years of experience in international shipping.
- 2+ years’ experience shipping dangerous goods.
- Forklift/reach truck certification.
- Experienced in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP systems.
