Summary
The Technical Intern will solve real-world challenges while working with leaders on meaningful projects that directly relate to key KCNSC business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of IT initiatives and technical improvement efforts. Partner onIT efforts and projects including coordinating activities, personnel and budget
- Follow defined IT project management processes, standards, and procedures. Provides process feedback supporting potential improvement opportunities
- Support IT initiatives (efforts / projects) through the conceptual, requirements gathering, design, development and implementation phases
- Assist in security administration, data analytics and event monitoring
- Design, implement and test state-of-the-art secure security systems, networks, and database solutions
- Provide technical support, execute requests and answer general how to questions in a high security environment
You Must Have
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Cyber Security or MIS
- Must graduate after December 2025
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship for 1+ more years
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
