Systems Architect (Embedded Vehicle Systems)

Responsibilities:
- Summary: Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects supporting manned and unmanned ground vehicle systems, robotics, and vehicle electronics for the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center.
- Break down complex platform requirements into structured engineering tasks across various disciplines, including vehicle electronics, simulation, and data networks.
- Apply engineering expertise to the development, integration, and testing of embedded systems for ground combat vehicles, with a focus on optionally manned systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors of Science or higher in Engineering or a related field.
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience: 12+ years of related experience in embedded vehicle systems and military electronics.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML, UML, DoDAF, UPDM).
- Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures (e.g., CAN Bus, Ethernet).
- Functional Decomposition and Capability Development for new architectures.
- Integration and development of data networks crossing multiple security layers (Classified/Unclassified).
- Experience with subsystem and system-level integration and testing.
- Proficient with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM Rational Doors).
- Expertise in embedded systems, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation.
- Experience developing and executing system-level project plans.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Process Development and Improvement Management (CMMI).
- Familiarity with legacy military hardware/software and Time-Sensitive Networks.
- Travel: Occasional travel to customer facilities and testing centers as required.
