Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines:  Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

What You Will Do:

The Contract Logistic Support (CLS) program is looking to staff a THAAD AN/TPY2 System Radar Instructor in support of the THAAD Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) program in El Paso, Texas.

You will be based in El Paso, Texas and as an Instructor.  You will provide training and guidance to the KSA Soldiers in the following areas:

  • THAAD Technical Concepts

  • Prime Power Unit (PPU)

  • Enhanced Operator/Maintainer (EO/M)

  • THAAD ADA Officer

  • THAAD System Technician

  • TFCC/Enhanced Radar Operator/Maintainer

  • The training will take place in the El Paso/Ft Bliss, Texas area, and as a team instructor you will maintain a mission ready focus and a deployable status

Responsibilities also include training the KSA Soldiers in the following crew-level tasks:

  • RSOP Procedures

  • Emplacement of the System

  • Power Up/Down System

  • Initialize Software

  • Run Diagnostics

  • Load Satellite Task List

  • Track Satellites

  • Perform Operator level maintenance

  • Integrate with TFCC and load Battle Plan from TFCC

  • March Order System

  • Perform all Operator PMCS tasks

  • The above-mentioned tasks are part of Collective training and Table 8 certification that the KSA Soldiers must complete and certify as a crew in a field environment.

  • May be required to lift 50 pounds

  • This position is posted as ONSITE and is based in El Paso, TX

  • Travel Requirements are approximately 25 International and 75 domestic.[HS1] 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires:  Bachelors degree and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience. 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position

  • Experience with THAAD or equivalent Missile Defense System

  • Experience with Air and Missile Defense Operations

  • Experience with Technical Instruction and Training experience in a Military or Civilian environment

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in Computer-Based Training (CBT), Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Training and Distance Learning, Microsoft Office and Windows Desktop & Server

  • Experience working with basic forms of instructional and training analysis

  • Completion of the AN/TPY-2 Common Course and OJT or US Army THAAD course

  • Training in the following areas: THAAD System Administrator, THAAD ADA Officer, THAAD System Technician (140E), THAAD AN/TPY-2 Radar, THAAD Prime Power Unit

  • Experience with technical writing and oral communication skills with an attention to detail and the ability to work within a team environment

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
