We are seeking a Test Lab Operator to operate machinery and equipment to test wheel and brake assemblies, wheel and brake components, and other parts.
3rd shift: Sunday – Thursday 11:00p.m.- 7:00a.m
What You Will Do
- Handle hazardous waste according to management rules and place it in appropriate containers.
- Receive job assignments and instructions from Test Supervisors and Project Engineers.
- Read and interpret test requests and assembly blueprints; seek clarification if needed.
- Retrieve and assemble test hardware; take required weights and measurements.
- Install sensors and gauges (e.g., thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure gauges) as required.
- Set up and connect hydraulic and electrical test hardware.
- Set up test equipment and program data acquisition systems and machine controls.
- Record and verify test results; ensure accuracy of methods
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate test results; report any abnormal conditions to the project engineer or supervisor.
- Disassemble and store test setups and hardware safely and orderly.
- Calibrate tools and equipment (e.g., torque cells, pressure gauges) as required.
- Train Test Lab Operator trainees.
- Store tools, equipment, and hardware properly when not in use.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Operate tow motors or hand trucks to support testing.
- Perform and log routine preventive maintenance.
- Attend training and department meetings.
- Oil machines as needed.
- Retrieve items from the tool crib and complete necessary forms/transactions.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Substantial reaching and moving while standing; lifting to 25lbs unassisted; twisting; stooping; and response to sounds associated to the work environment.
- Adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures.
- Perform mathematical calculations requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging, and conversion (fraction to decimal, ft/min to ft/sec, etc.)
- Pass a pre-employment qualification assessment.
Qualifications You Must Have
- HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications We Prefer
- 1 year of CNC Machining experience.
- Oral and written comprehension and understanding of technical documents including but not limited to routings, blueprints, Engineering process specifications and written work instructions.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
