Overhaul, repair, modification, inspection, replacement, or defect rectification of an engine/module/accessory/component/unit.
Restoration and repair of used parts, component/assembly/ engine/module/accessory/unit by inspection, and/or replacement in conformity with an approved standard to extend the operational life.
Restoration and repair of component/engine/module to a serviceable condition in conformity with an approved standard and to ensure that cost effective operation is achieved.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping in line with the business 5S standards.
Ensuring adherence to standard work targets in order to meet the overall business Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
Embedding continuous improvement activities into their daily standard work to facilitate business progression.
Qualifications & Requirements
Completed a formal engineering apprenticeship/military equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively interpret detailed documented work instructions
Team player with flexible approach and a positive attitude
The willingness and ability to follow an effective training plan in a timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
Desired Characteristics
Experience working within a diverse team environment
Previous working knowledge of SAP or an equivalent ERP system
A demonstrable desire to learn and grow with advances in technology
A good understanding of Lean tools and working practices
Repair skillset including experience in:
General Hand Tools
Pneumatic air tools
Riveting, hole enlargement and tapping
Grinding – right angle and pencil
Ability to interpret Technical Drawings
Pressure Testing
Broken bolt removal
Analogue measurement
Hot/Cold assembly techniques
Dot/Flap Peening experience
Shift Pattern
These are shift based roles, with patterns spanning weekends, days, afternoons and nights.
