Position Summary
Locates and picks product to fill customer orders in all picking areas within the Distribution Center. Locates, gathers, and transports quantities of filter products throughout the distribution center and warehouse areas to fill customer orders. Operates powered equipment and assists in physical inventory counts as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Picks orders according to bay locations, procuring correct quantity and type of filter.
- Utilizes pick labels, pick sheets and voice picking equipment as necessary to pick orders.
- Replenishes inventory in bay locations manually or using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Operates equipment as assigned, which may include tractor-trailers, trailer jacks, lift trucks, order pickers, SA’s, electric or manual pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, hand-held RF terminals, and radios.
- Assists in physical inventory counts of finished goods as required.
- Assists with loading or unloading export containers as required.
- Processes priority shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.) as required.
- Inspects cases of filters to ensure that damaged or otherwise defective cases are not shipped. Reports problems to department supervision immediately.
- Responsible for meeting established unit production standards.
- Completes department paperwork as required.
- Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
- Responsible for observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe conditions to department supervision.
- Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Eighth grade education and three months work experience in a warehouse environment and/or operating a forklift.
- Requires the individual to handle and transport products and materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Requires operating powered equipment and carrying cases of products and materials. May require climbing ladders
- Must be in good standing with the company.
