Job Description:

Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site is looking for a Workforce Development Coordinator–Military Recruiter (Contract) to join our Workforce Development team based in Mobile, AL.

The Workforce Development Military Recruiter (Contract) is responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending candidates transitioning from the military for Airbus organizational roles. This person must understand, model and represent the Airbus employment value proposition and published Airbus Values. They will coordinate and assist in the execution of our team&39;s efforts to develop sustainable and durable military workforce partnerships in the region. This includes analyzing labor demands and supply side dynamics, building partnership models and approaches, marshaling internal resources and collaboration with external partners. This role will also provide assistance to existing initiatives. They will find opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential &34;fit&34; through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing and onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and implementing recruitment plans and strategies are main responsibilities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. Your Working Environment:

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to improve its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your Challenges:
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build a pipeline for military candidates and maintain positive relationships with external partners (e.g. military transition assistance program (TAP) offices) and internal teams (e.g. human resources, and recruiting).
  • Drive successful implementation, including military engagement, curriculum and program development; employer engagement; collaboration with government, non-profit organizations, and other workforce development intermediary organizations.
  • Develop an evaluation system of each program&39;s effectiveness and output.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to create and manage feedback systems to assess implementation needs to support the successful adoption, implementation, and scaling.
  • Collaborate with leaders, hiring managers and human resources team on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation and sourcing strategies.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build a database/pipeline of candidates and the Airbus company brand.
  • Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates.
  • Place and update all job postings in various Medias including internet/intranet sites, military bases, social networks, community boards and staffing partners.
  • Represent the company at recruiting events (i.e., military job fairs), providing company/job information and interviewing applicants.
  • Give presentations at military events, attend TAPS meetings, and increase military awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
  • Connect with managers and employees regularly to promote Airbus referral program and internal opportunities.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as needed.
  • Respond timely to internal and external applicant situations, and applicant requests as required.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your Boarding Pass:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Military experience highly desirable
  • 5 plus years of human resources, talent acquisition, talent management, workforce development, marketing, or career counseling experience required
  • Experience in a fast paced environment
  • Relevant program management experience
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and solid understanding of recruitment programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a sometimes ambiguous environment and within cross functional global teams
  • Travel is required up to 25

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
