We are hiring for an aircraft product support service provider looking to hire interior painters with mechanical aptitude at our Mobile AL location.

Tasks:

• Carrying out mechanical and cosmetic reworks of non-conformities, adjustments, replacements, calibrations, modifications, and prep work/paint
• Performing reworks from start to finish
• Mixing materials appropriately per technical data
• Using digital scales or graduated mixing cups as required per technical date (i.e. mix by weight or volume)
• Filling and sanding surfaces to ensure smooth finishes
• Airbrushing metal and composite structures on highly visible products
• Documenting reworks (mix ratio, temperature, humidity, etc. using scales and data logger)
• Cleaning/maintaining the paint booth and paint gun

• Ability to work first shift schedule with shift flexibility, travel, and work OT
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently or as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Have high standards for your work
• Ability to clear a background check, drug screen, and obtain an Airbus badge and passport
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal software applications
• Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and work stands unassisted
• Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently in confined spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have previous work experience or hobbies that show you can paint OR general aviation painting.
• Have a current A&P license or automotive mechanic, cabinetmaking, or comparable experience
• Understand airbrushing/painting cosmetic interior paint touch-ups
• Able to work independently and/or with a team in accordance with drawings and work instructions
