Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
*Perform a variety of activities including preparation of surfaces and mixing paints.
*Paint aircraft, small parts, and various surfaces according to required specifications.
* Perform layout and masking as necessary.
* Mix paints, primers, etc. according to specifications.
* Paint major assemblies (including metal, fiberglass and composite material), detail parts, and apparatus, as needed.
* Strip paint and prepares surfaces as required.
* Perform miscellaneous paint operations and applies decals.
* Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company initiatives and complies with safety regulations.
* Demonstrate paint and paint preparation competencies needed to successfully complete finishing operations. Education and Experience Requirements:
*High school education or general education degree (GED) Required
*Minimum 2 years work-related Aircraft Paint experience
*Must be able to work 2nd Shift (2:30pm to 11:00pm) Required Skills:
*Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in painting and methods of mixing paint colors.
*Ability to read and interpret blue prints, engineering drawing and technical publications required.
*The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.
*Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
*Aviation mechanical experience, either fixed wing or rotorcraft experience, desired.
