Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Parts Painter with experience in the aviation industry. This role involves surface preparation, precise application of paint finishes, and ensuring a high-quality aesthetic for interior components of aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of paint mixing and application techniques, and experience in an aerospace or aviation setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare aircraft parts for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and masking surfaces.
Mix and apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes in accordance with technical specifications and client requests.
Ensure paint application meets high-quality standards with attention to color accuracy, smoothness, and uniformity.
Inspect finished work for flaws or imperfections and make touch-ups or adjustments as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations regarding the handling of paints, chemicals, and tools.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper care and storage of equipment and materials.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet client specifications.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of aircraft painting experience consistently applying a high quality topcoat application to specific aircraft specs. (including yacht and Naval. Excluding commercial or residential paint experience)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of various paint systems, mixing techniques, and surface preparation methods.
Ability to work with both manual and automated painting tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with safety procedures related to handling hazardous materials and working in a shop environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
