Position Summary
Summary
Great opportunity arises to join our team for a Composite Painter. In this role you will be fulfilling the main duties – surface preparation, masking, application of paints by brush and air spray techniques and drying procedures. These techniques will be utilised on military anti ice and civil radomes requiring spraying on internal and external surfaces. Highly desirable experience would be from Automotive Paint Spraying, Paint Spraying, or more desirable, Aerospace.

- Able to read/interpret company and Customer Engineering drawings, process specifications and work instructions.
- Surface Preparation – prepare component surfaces using Vapour blasters, Orbital sanders and manual sanding techniques.
- To effectively mask components prior to paint application using masking tapes and paper.
- Paint mixing – to mix paint by volume and viscosity to approved documentation and specifications.
- Paint application – to apply paint by brush and spray techniques to process documentation and specifications.
Qualifications

- A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
- Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field.
- Paint Spraying, either automotive or aerospace.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience to show.
- Surface preparation.
