As a Masking Technician, you’ll play a vital role in preparing aerospace components for coating and painting processes. Your keen attention to detail will ensure the quality and precision of every part we service, contributing to the high standards StandardAero is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply masking materials such as tapes, plugs, or caps to protect surfaces from coatings, paint, or other surface treatments.
- Prepare parts for paint or coating by cleaning, degreasing, or sanding as required.
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, and instructions to identify areas requiring masking.
- Inspect parts for cleanliness and accuracy before and after masking.
- Remove masking materials post-treatment, ensuring no damage to finished surfaces.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in masking, paint preparation, or related work is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Familiarity with hand tools and masking materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
