Job Description:

The final responsibility and authority of any company flight rests with the Pilot-in-Command (PIC).  The PIC is responsible for the operation, safety, and security of the aircraft and the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo on board.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as pilot-in-command (single pilot) on the Eclipse 500
  • Prior to the flight, he/she is responsible for familiarizing themselves with all available information concerning that flight on PFM, including crew, passengers, destinations, expected departure times
  • Coordinate with the Scheduler any flight changes due to weather, aircraft maintenance, or aircraft availability.
  • Determine the aircraft weight and balance and input fuel load into PFM.
  • Ensure the aircraft is airworthy and has all the required documentation on board.
  • Determine that the crew is legally licensed, with current medicals, adequately rest, and in proper dress.
  • Ensure all applicable navigational publications, flight and aircraft manuals, and aircraft documents are on board and current.
  • For international flights, ensure that all appropriate authorities have been notified/coordinated and the appropriate forms are on board. (Use of a planning service organization is authorized for international flights if deemed necessary).
  • Make arrangements if necessary and coordinate with the Director of Maintenance and Director of Flight Operations for maintenance away from the home base.
  • Ensure that the Flight Activity forms are completed.
  • Determining fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
  • Ensure that a trend monitoring report is completed on each flight, work-load permitting.
  • Complete all post-flight duties, including notification to the company of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location.
  • Record any maintenance items in the Aircraft Discrepancy Form and inform the Director of maintenance of any airworthy issues
  • Other duties as assigned/ required.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to perform inspections of the aircraft.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree (BS or BA) (preferred)
  • Airline Transport Pilot rating (preferred)
  • Commercial Aircraft Pilot Rating
  • The ability to operate domestic and international (Canada, Mexico, and The Caribbean)
  • Live or be willing to re-locate to within a 30-minute drive time to KHDC.
  • ME Commercial Certificate or ATP Certificate
  • CFI-CFII-MEI (preferred)
  • 2,500 Total Time
  • 1,000 Multi-Engine
  • 1,000 Turbine
  • High-altitude experience
  • Current Class II Medical Certificate
  • Must be in possession of a valid US or Foreign Passport with applicable VISAs prior to training
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
