Commercial Helicopter Pilot with Vertical Experience

Salmon River Helicopters, a growing Idaho company is looking for their next team member! In this role, you will get to be part of our private and government contracts across the United States that involve a variety of aerial operations including power line construction, firefighting, fire rehabilitation/stabilization, agricultural services, heavy lift construction, concrete transport, repeater placement, remote non-schedule freight delivery and much more.

Job Description:

Salmon River Helicopters’ is seeking an experienced Commercial helicopter pilot for utilities/ construction and government firefighting conducting part 133 operations. This individual should be willing to travel on a variable schedule (typically 12/12,14/14 or 20/20 but not always), and safety-focused and excited to be at Salmon River Helicopters. This position does not require relocation. All air travel and lodging expenses to and from contracts will be covered.

• Operate aircraft safely & maintain an exceptional level of professionalism at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• Complete all required company daily paperwork
• Manage onsite aircraft crew (A/C mechanic and Fuel Truck Driver)
• Act as a professional onsite company representative
• Perform other duties as they arise

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter license
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• Minimum 2000 hours PIC
• Minimum 500 hours of VR experience
• Minimum 100 hours of turbine
• Preference will be given to applicants with UH1, 412, Blackhawk, or similar aircraft experience
• Precision construction experience required
• Ability to work well with others 
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, walk, stand, kneel, crunch, crawl, climb, and reach as this type of position requires
