Business Development Specialist-Reliance Aerotech Services
Job Summary:
Reliance Aerotech Services, a leading aviation staffing, recruitment and special project solutions provider is looking for an experienced results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team of aerospace professionals in the Pensacola, FL office. This role is pivotal in identifying and cultivating new customers within the aerospace community who require engineering, program support or aircraft maintenance talent. As the Business Development Specialist you will play a key role in expanding our customer base, enhancing our market presence and delivering tailored solutions, while building long term industry partnerships.
The Business Development Specialist will work closely with the General Manager and research target clients and make introduction calls to book sales meetings. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in aviation maintenance management, staffing or human resource management and will understand prospecting research and is comfortable calling into Aerospace/Aircraft Human Resource Executives and Managers.
Previous experience in sales is required. We are seeking a mature, professional, highly motivated, team player. Base salary plus commission and great office environment is offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute comprehensive short and long-term sales plans that drive revenue growth, increase industry awareness of our staffing solutions, and expand market share within the aviation staffing sector.
- Client Acquisition & Networking: Utilize your aviation contacts and network to prospect and generate new business. Attend local and national aviation events (including NBAA, trade shows, and conferences) to build and establish relationships with potential clients.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing ongoing support, guidance, and strategic direction. Build long-term partnerships based on trust, transparency, and delivering exceptional value.
- Communication & Outreach: Proactively reach out to potential clients through multiple communication channels (potential client calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, social media, and industry chat groups). Establish initial contact and initiate conversations to uncover opportunities and needs.
- Sales Reporting & Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline. Track leads, opportunities, and conversion rates in CRM software, and provide regular updates during weekly sales meetings.
- Customer Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers across business aviation, including all aspects of the aviation world, and other aviation industry leaders.
- ATS & Documentation: Use ATS software to document all client interactions, sales activities, and progress. Ensure all data is entered correctly for tracking, forecasting, and reporting purposes.
- Strategic Market Feedback: Work closely with the executive team to provide feedback on market trends, client needs, and competitor activity. Offer insights that help shape the company's growth strategy.
- Travel & Representation: Represent Reliance Aerotech Services at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings (approximately 15% overnight travel). This will include planned attendance at key industry events such as NBAA and other relevant conferences.
