The role: An exciting opportunity to join British Airways as a Digital Sales Business Development Executive has arisen!
Based in Dublin, you will be responsible for enhancing our sales revenue opportunities and driving business growth by identifying emerging spanet trends, forging new corporate contracts, and implementing effective sales strategies to grow incremental revenue for British Airways and our partners.
What you’ll do: - Develop and deliver our strategic plans to drive sales growth and meet revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through spanet research, competitor analysis, and customer insights.
- Target principal spanets such as SME, un-dealt corporate customers, professional groups.
- Prospect any new leads and utilise the opportunity to introduce our corporate products to them.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including online travel agencies, corporate clients, and technology providers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize website functionality, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry and digital spaneting trends, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent British Airways at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and establish new partnerships.
- Maintain a regular communication and weekly report to the New Business Sales Manager.
What you’ll bring to British Airways: - Team spirit and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from a diverse group of backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the business.
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Resilience and a positive attitude in the face of challenges, with a determination to overcome obstacles and achieve goals
- Drive to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and exceeding expectations.
Your experience: - A background in sales and business development is essential.
- Strong IT skills, specifically MS Office.
- A business, spaneting or other relevant qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of airline distribution channels, revenue management principles, and pricing strategies is desirable.
- Proficiency in one or more European languages such as French, German, Italian, or Dutch would be advantageous.
