Job Description:
My client, Velocity Maintenance Solutions is currently looking for a remotely located Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast Region to develop and maintain business relationships with customers and industry vendors to generate sales leads and create customized service offerings to meet customer needs. This position is responsible for the generation of new sales and maintaining current customer's revenues of corporate and MRO operations. The Regional Sales Manager will work with the VP of Sales and Business Development, in planning business development and executing sales with business aircraft off wing support and modifications services. A high level of communication, organization, flexibility, professionalism, and customer service is crucial for this position. This position will travel the territory regularly and maintain a home office during non- travel periods. The expectation is to perform as necessary to ensure Velocity Maintenance Solutions is represented appropriately and professionally within the territory while achieving the annual sales objective.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop sales strategies and implementation to increase market share within the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region.
- Develop plans and strategies for growing business and achieving employer’s sales revenue goals.
- Work closely with other employer departments to generate relationships, partnerships, and revenue.
- Self-generate leads through industry networking and industry trade shows.
- Utilize aviation databases to manage, identify and update the status of all sales opportunities to continuously evaluate progress within the client group against pipeline, revenue, and profit targets.
- Attend industry trade shows and vendor events as necessary to maintain existing and develop new relationships.
- Travel regularly throughout the territory and visit with customers regarding short and long-term sales opportunities. Enhance and maintain relationships with key customers inside your territory
- Build the pipeline to meet sales objectives embedded in employer’s business plan.
- Provide quotes for all scheduled and unscheduled customers, as required.
- Provide end-to-end management of customer accounts, as well as manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage account post-sale to maintain customer.
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to Employer’s leadership team and other Employer functions.
- Analyze the industry market, competition, service/product offerings and trends to develop
- strategies ensuring Velocity Maintenance Solutions alignment with those findings.
- Identify and analyze local market requirements by soliciting client feedback and by
- maintaining strong industry contacts/network.• Identify, evaluate, and recommend sales strategies such as multi-aircraft/multi component work packages.
- Provide consultative advice to customers regarding their upcoming maintenance events to assure that Velocity Maintenance Solutions is positioned to win any off-wing support needed.
Job Requirements:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A&P License and/or a degree in Aviation Technology or an equivalent field of study (preferred).
- Brings 5+ years of experience with technical knowledge and a customer following in an aerospace environment.
- Strong technical knowledge as demonstrated by at least 5 years’ experience as an aviation maintenance technician, technical representative, or outside sales manager.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and other necessary software.
- Must be able to travel regularly and maintain a clean driving record.
- Live within the territory (NE Region plus OH, PA, WV, VA, NC, & SC)
- Must demonstrate strong communication, planning and customer service skills.
