RETAIL SALES ANALYST (STARLINK)

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, is delivering low-latency broadband internet around the world. The Starlink Retail Partnerships team serves as the point of contact for Starlink’s growing base of retail customers and spans end-to-end ownership across research, identification, development, capture, delivery, deployment, and fulfillment of all contract terms. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a passion for making customers deliriously happy, blazing new trails for Starlink retail partnerships, and growing revenue and brand awareness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design & develop the frameworks to model out the retail segment
  • Partner with Finance, Growth, and Production to align on forecasts, assumptions, and methodology
  • Leverage data to surface leading indicators & deep insights that will provide a guide to the retail team
  • Support Starlink growth in identifying, developing, capturing, executing, and expanding Starlink retail partnership opportunities in domestic and international markets
  • Conduct analyses (SQL queries, other methods) that identify issues and opportunities impacting our customers, including actionable recommendations that quantifiably change outcomes
  • Integrate with all levels of the business to understand current workflows and identify systematic gaps
  • Help rapidly answer tactical business questions through analytical frameworks
  • Define and develop department-level metrics & associated dashboards that quantify the health of our operation and influence change
  • Creates reports, tools, and standardized metrics for operational measurements and improvements
  • Own data integrity, tool maintenance, and reporting quality for the Starlink Retail team
  • Train internal users and leaders on dashboard and tool usage, assist in troubleshooting
  • Support forecasting efforts that inform strategy and planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, regulatory, business, planning etc.)
Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, management information systems, computer science, engineering, or economics
  • 1+ years of experience in using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics, consulting or data analysis
  • Strong experience with modeling
  • Ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems, derive insights from data and articulate clearly
  • Good with data management & SQL and able to bled multiple data sources
  • Experience bringing products/services into retail stores in both domestic US and international markets (i.e. Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, or Africa)
  • Independently motivated, with a demonstrated track record of project ownership
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with satellite communications and/or the retail industry
  • MBA or master's degree with a business or engineering focused curriculum
  • Strong analytical skills in business and technical issues

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations
  • Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices and customer locations as needed up to 20%

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Retail Sales Analyst/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year

Retail Sales Analyst/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation & will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
