Job Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Sales Manager are to develop a sales plan targeting new customers and/or upselling to current customers, and source to identify new prospects and leads through other avenues. You must be dynamic, goal-oriented, and a self-sourcing expert with the ability to understand client needs and provide solutions. The ideal candidate exercises strong judgment and demonstrates a commitment to the success of the company by positively supporting the company’s directives and objectives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Sell maintenance services, modifications, upgrades, and mandated equipment installations to aircraft operators.
  • Assist customers in determining the best maintenance solutions for their aircraft profile and personal preferences.
  • Educate and advise prospective clients on aircraft maintenance services.
  • Accurately research and quote parts, labor, and outside services for maintenance projects that fall within the scope of the products we offer and airframes.
  • Follow-up after the quote to actively work to close the sale.
  • Negotiate customer terms and pricing with the goal of maximizing revenue and contribution margin, while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
  • Proactively work with VP Maintenance to ensure quotes are accurate, and capabilities are available to handle the projects at hand.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by responding quickly to questions, quote inquiries, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Actively working with the Marketing Manager to participate in trade shows and follow up after the show with business contacts and prospects.
  • Assist with logistics, set up, and tear down of trade show booth.
  • Meet and or exceed sales goals. Meet weekly, quarterly, and annually with VP Maintenance to review sales, customers, and prospects.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your Manager.
Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or aviation or 5 + years experience in aviation services or management required or 10 + years of sales-related function selling to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and corporations. Must possess a working knowledge of business aviation maintenance, manufacturers, and the marketplace. Airframe & Powerplant certification preferred.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Ability to relate to people on many levels (both internal and external). Ability to communicate with people tactfully and with diplomacy and professionalism.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

EXCELLENT written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to effectively present information to customers and staff.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:

Ability to plan, stay organized, and focused throughout the day. Excellent communication and time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, etc.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems with customers and staff. Strong initiative and decision-making skills are required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Microsoft skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word).

ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK:

Perform tasks simultaneously.

PROFESSIONALISM:

Represents the company in a professional manner regarding interaction with your team, customers, and corporate personnel.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Typically, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must show up on time for all required shifts. Hybrid position. Travel required.

  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, and squat in order to perform duties of the job.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time while performing job functions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements for data entry.
  • Ability to work on a computer throughout the day.
